Stal Collectief is a Belgian-based design firm who recently released two new projects that include the Koala 45 hammock and the Zwol pendant lamp. I’m pretty sure I let out a shriek when I saw the massively, oversized hammock that I know I’ll dream about. The group of four’s covet-worthy designs will definitely make you pause and take a second glance and you’ll see why.
The Koala 45 might be a bit eccentric but who can’t imagine lounging on one with friends? The wooden canopy structure is held together with 12 bolts and can hold up to eight people when you’re ready to have a relaxing, open-air hangout.
Zwol was inspired by those basic trouble lights you see in garages that house the bulbs in protective cages. The main part of the pendant is made out of Acrylic One in a silicone mold while the cage is constructed out of laser cut birch plywood. It’s a modernized and classy version of the industrial piece it’s based on.
